NUST and Methealth Launch Hack4Health 2025: Innovation in Healthcare Reimagined
The Namibia University of Science and Technology (NUST), in partnership with Methealth Namibia Administrators, is excited to announce the launch of Hack4Health 2025, a student-centred health innovation hackathon that aims to harness bold thinking and technological ingenuity to reimagine the future of care. The event will be held from 21 to 25 July 2025 at the High-Tech Transfer Plaza Select (HTTPS) Building, Lower Campus.
This hands-on hackathon provides a platform for students to develop innovative solutions in areas such as:
- Disease management system enhancement
- AI-driven optimisation of medical aid claims
- Integrated communication in health service administration
- Real-time healthcare fraud prevention
- Inclusive digital ecosystems for HIV prevention, disclosure, and education
Under the theme "Feel the Beat of Innovation in Care", Hack4Health 2025 is designed to empower students to develop tangible, tech-driven healthcare solutions that respond to real challenges in Namibia’s health sector.
Applications are open until 20 June 2025. Students may apply by scanning the QR code on the poster or contacting Ms Ottilie Keendjele at 061-2876020.
This initiative reflects NUST’s commitment to applied research and innovation, while offering students an opportunity to contribute meaningfully to national health resilience.
